SERVICE POSITIONS
In Alcoholics Anonymous, service is one of the cornerstones of our recovery. By showing up for our group and for one another, we practice the principles of humility, responsibility, and unity. Service not only helps us stay sober, it ensures that the hand of AA is always there for the next person seeking help.
At BBG, we believe that service is both a privilege and a spiritual practice. Whether it’s greeting someone at the door, handing out chips, or representing the group in the larger fellowship of AA, each role plays a vital part in keeping our meeting welcoming, organized, and grounded in the Twelve Traditions.
No matter your length of sobriety, there is a way to contribute. Some positions require more time sober or a longer commitment, while others are open to anyone with the willingness to serve. Every role, big or small, reflects our shared responsibility to carry the message of recovery and strengthen the bonds of our group.
Below is an overview of BBG’s service opportunities and eligibility requirements.
“We are responsible for the effort, God is responsible for the outcome”
